We're proud of our scribe of the month winners!
Our scribes work tirelessly day and night serving the best doctors practicing medicine. We believe every single one of them is amazing, but every once in a while there are a handful of scribes who go above and beyond. The PhysAssist Scribe of the Month (SOTM) program was developed to recognize a few stellar individuals each month who embody the essence of what it means to be a scribe. We view these attributes as sincere, caring, responsive, innovative, balanced and efficient.
How It Works
Every month, outstanding scribes are nominated for a Scribe Spotlight by members of their team or fellow scribes. We've poured over all of this month's nominees and are proud to announce those selected to be Scribe of the Month for June 2018 in each region that we service across the country. Kaylyn White - Greeley, CO
"I love scribing, it feels great to receive this recognition for doing something that I love to do!"
Reason for Nomination:
“Kaylyn is an enormous asset to our team. She constantly works to improve her charting and consistently seeks out more information regarding how to improve her charts. As a trainer, I have heard her interact with trainees in a very encouraging, respectful, and yet straightforward manner at the same time, which can be so difficult! She demonstrates outstanding leadership skills and constantly seeks ways to participate in making the team better. Whether that's by volunteering to take a training shift at the last minute, volunteering to help learn how to facilitate classroom trainings, or simply helping with shift coverage, she is consistently a team player and I so appreciate her leadership on this team. She constantly has a positive attitude and goes above and beyond to help out the team, which is so very appreciated. These qualities do not often all happen together in one person and our team is SO very lucky to have her leadership, dedication, and amazing work ethic.”
What made you want to be a scribe?
I wanted to be a scribe because I wanted to integrate myself into the clinical world while learning about the process of patient care. I wanted to become comfortable engaging with doctors and nurses, while challenging myself to go above and beyond my role as a scribe, and take advantage of the opportunity to discuss medicine with doctors who were once in my shoes, and learn about their individual journeys into medicine.
What are your future career aspirations?
I am currently applying for medical school - wish me luck! Right now I'm interested in pursuing either OB/GYN or internal medicine, but am open to any and all experiences that may come my way!
Who inspires you?
I am consistently inspired by the physicians I scribe for! Bearing witness to incredible patient care by caring, empathetic, and attentive doctors leaves me feeling inspired every time I step into the ED.
