4 Tips to Identifying the Best Scribe Candidates
The biannual PhysAssist Scribes Leadership Conference this winter included multiple focus sessions where attendees met with industry experts to discuss topics ranging from innovations in scribe training to learning how to communicate more effectively. Divisional Recruiting Manager, Jason Barber, spoke with a breakout group on the methodology to use when identifying good scribes. This allowed attendees to reflect on how to best tease great talent out of every scribe on their teams.
1) Concisely describe exactly what you want the scribe to accomplish in their role.
2) Develop a way to locate and identify the best talent.
3) When picking a candidate, base your selection on facts, not only gut feeling.
4) Persuade candidates of the benefits of the position and company. Heritage and reputation speak loudly!
