Next step for Scribes: Med School

Ask a former scribe what helped them most through their first year in med school or PA school, and you're likely to hear "being a scribe, of course!" At PhysAssist Scribes, we try to help all of our scribes achieve their healthcare career goals, be it advanced education or a job in the medical arena.

This year, we are so pleased that more than 1,175 PhysAssist Scribes have moved on into medical, PA or nursing programs. That's nearly half of all of our scribes! We are excited to see these young stars make the next step into bright futures as medical providers.

Our providers help people when they are unwell and our scribes help those providers...on so many levels. Every scribe has a unique story about how their experience made an impact on their medical school or physician assistant program education; not to mention the incredible things they learned by being a part of the emergency department experience—from clockwork teamwork during codes to understanding scans and EKGS to the special comraderie that exists between doctors, nurses, PAs, NPs and, of course, scribes.
