Why is Company Culture Important?
Company culture is the foundation for a strong and cohesive team. It defines and relays a business’s core values, personality, and passion. Strong culture starts with the company’s commitments which then echo through the people that are brought on.
“... the most important distinction to make here is that company culture is something that is pre-existing in your company’s genetic code,” according to Forbes Magazine “If you treat your employees well and have a fun-loving corporate atmosphere, your customers will see you as a fun-loving, generous brand.”
Be Here Now,
friends make the best scribes!
Our scribes realize the multiple benefits they get out of scribing—from unprecedented exposure to the medical environment to amazing opportunities for learning on the job. In fact, many of our most qualified applicants apply for a scribe position because they are referred by a current scribe.
We want to congratulate Seth Sturgill, a Dallas-based PhysAssist Scribe, who referred friends to become scribes as part of our Scribe Referral Program. Like Seth, the candidates he recommended who became scribes got the opportunity to work alongside physicians in the ED, gaining invaluable experience to prepare them for a future in medicine. Seth won the grand prize of a $3,000 academic scholarship that he will be applying toward tuition, books or housing for graduate study. Seth works as a scribe on the East Dallas team in Rockwall and Greenville, TX.
As we gear up for another phenomenal year here at PhysAssist Scribes, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the great 2016 news from the scribe front:
- How to Grow in the ED as a PhysAssist Scribe
We love to help our scribes take on roles of leadership. Opportunities abound within PhysAssist Scribes, including Trainer Scribe, Head Trainer, Chief Scribe, Certified Trainer Scribe (CTS), Lead Trainer and more. You may even want to graduate into a corporate position at headquarters.

Become a Scribe,
A core value at PhysAssist Scribes is to "help people help people." In the spirit of the holidays, we brought our company purpose to life by participating in the 2016 Angel Tree program for ACH Child & Family Services, located in Fort Worth, TX. We are so proud of our corporate team! They pulled together collecting nearly 350 gifts, valued at $2,500, which will be distributed among 30 local children in need, aged 1 to 15. We hope this helps bring joy and warmth to these children and their families this season!
Team spirit is always something to celebrate, especially when you're widespread across 36 states! Although PhysAssist Scribes is in hospitals around the country, we are an incredible community that is bound together under the mantra of people working together to help people.
Welcome to the newly redesigned and refreshed PhysAssist Scribes newsletter! We're calling it the Beat because it focuses on all of the things that keep us ticking as a great company: our scribes, clients and corporate employees.
